Fan Fuel on Super Bowl XLVII prop bets: Guide to betting on Alicia Keys, Beyonce and Jay-Z

BY FAIZAL KHAMISA – FAN FUEL BLOGGER

You look at the list of crazy prop bets for Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVII between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens and you start noticing there’s a game within the game. These bets revolve around the broadcast, entertainment, commercial and social media aspects and not what actually takes place on the field.

Let’s take look at some of the most intriguing prop bets for Super Bowl XLVII, beginning with the entertainment.

1. How many words will Alicia Keys omit from the National Anthem? Over/Under 1.0

This is on the board because it’s happened before. Because Christina Aguilera influenced the time of the anthem (also a bet), some sports books ended up paying everyone. But trust me when I say no words will be omitted this year because Alicia Keys is in love with me. Simple as that.

Well she should be if she wants me to go to her concert later this year. That decision is solely dependent on the outcome of this prop bet. It doesn’t hurt that she’s practicing “like a maniac” either.

2. Will Jay-Z show up on stage at halftime with Beyonce? Yes/No

This is now a more pressing question because in the last week alone Jay-Z’s been courtside in LA at Lakers/Thunder AND at the inauguration of Barack Obama. Hova’s a pretty supportive dude, and can probably leverage some of the good-guy points accumulated over the last while to convince B to let him on stage during the performance. If you’re not convinced the first words of Bonnie & Clyde should convince you. LOOK FOR ME, Young, Hov!

There you have it. Your guide to one of the crazier, seemingly obvious Super Bowl XLVII prop bets.

Enjoy Sunday!
