You look at the list of crazy prop bets for Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVII between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens and you start noticing there’s a game within the game. These bets revolve around the broadcast, entertainment, commercial and social media aspects and not what actually takes place on the field.
Let’s take look at some of the most intriguing prop bets for Super Bowl XLVII, beginning with the coin toss.
The 50/50 bet: Will the opening coin toss land heads or tails?
This is my only 50/50 bet, because, it’s the only one with 50/50 chance of happening. Or is it? Looking back at the coin tosses from each and every Super Bowl, you find that it really is split – 23 heads and 23 tails. But, if for some reason you have insight on how a coin may land, perhaps parlaying this with the winner isn’t a bad idea. The team that’s won the toss has gone on to win the game 22 times.
There you have it. Your guide to one of the crazier, seemingly obvious Super Bowl XLVII prop bets.
Enjoy Sunday!
