With the 2012 NHL Trade Deadline getting closer, the Coullmbus Blue Jackets are the team to watch. I've already asked the fans what their team should trade to acquire Rick Nash. Now I'd like to know what you'd be willing to offer up for his teammate Jeff Carter.

Carter would be headed to his third team in the past year and is about to start an 11-year contract extension worth $58 million that will take him through the 2021-2022 season. So, what is Carter worth to your team?

**Some kind of combination of Kadri/first/Colborne/Frattin/ Percy/ Biggs and/or a roster player like MacArthur, Bozak, Gustavsson, Komisarek (yeah I know, but one can dream). - Sacrebleu

**What does he have, something like 10 years left on the deal? I don't think I'd offer too much... kid has a bad rep from his time in Philly as a party boy, and he's sulked the entire time's been in Columbus. I'd say one first round pick and a couple of mid-range AHL prospects. Sure he has potential, but he also has a reputation. - jays_77

**I agree, I would not want Jeff Carter. I think Carter has maturity issues and is a bit of a troubled player. Philly dumped him and now he is already being dangled as trade bait, not even a year later. Someone will take him, but IMO they may just regret it. - DrZaius

**Columbus should just hold on to him and hope he can have an injury free season; right now they would be getting low ball offers...that team is already a mess. Imagine what Couturier, Voracek and Cousins would have done for them in a couple of seasons instead of obtaining Carter... - BleedOrange
