WINNIPEG JETS 3 @ TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS 4 (SO)

Goaltending match-up: Ondrej Pavelec (20/23, .870 SV%) vs. James Reimer (26/29, .897 SV%). Jonas Gustavsson is slated to face the Bruins.

Combos: Andrew Ladd - Bryan Little - Blake Wheeler/ Alex Burmistrov - Nik Antropov - Kyle Wellwood/ Evander Kane - Mark Scheifele - Tim Stapleton/ Tanner Glass - Jim Slater - Chris Thorburn/ Tobias Enstrom - Dustin Byfuglien/ Johnny Oduya - Derek Meech/ Mark Stuart - Zach Bogosian

Scratches: Hainsey, Jones, Stapleton

Top PP times: Enstrom (5:24), Byfuglien (5:15), Wheeler (3:50), Ladd (3:47), Little (3:39)

Trending: Tobias Enstrom (1G, +1, 2 SOG) has points in two of three now after scoring his first goal of the season and his offensive production will be picking up shortly. Dustin Byfuglien (2A, 3 SOG) too. The bulky defender had no points at all before tonight, but his peripherals will help make him one of the most valuable standard league defender by year's end even with a drop from last season's 53 points. Bryan Little (1A, 2 PIM, 2 SOG) had nothing before this outing. He had 48 points last year. Alex Burmistrov (1G, +1, 1:45 PP, 2 SOG) has been called the Jets' best player so far and he had three helpers in four games before tonight. Kyle Wellwood (1A, 1:39 PP, no SOG) has points in three of four, while Nik Antropov (1A, +1, 1:35 PP, no SOG) has them in three of five. Mark Scheifele (1G, 1:05 PP, 2 SOG) struck for his first NHL goal and point in the second period. Not sure if he'll stick or not this year, but man... this kid is going to be a player in this league. Smart. Skilled. Work ethic. Jets fans will grow to really appreciate his all-around game in the years to come. Shootout:

Combos: Joffrey Lupul - Tyler Bozak - Phil Kessel/ Clarke MacArthur - Mikhail Grabovski - Nikolai Kulemin/ Matt Frattin - Matthew Lombardi - Colby Armstrong/ Philippe Dupuis - Dave Steckel - Mike Brown/ Carl Gunnarsson - Dion Phaneuf/ Luke Schenn - John-Michael Liles/ Jake Gardiner - Mike Komisarek

Scratches: Franson, Orr, Rosehill

Top PP times: Liles (3:00), Lupul (2:57), Kessel (2:57), Phaneuf (2:46), Gardiner (2:11)

Trending: Phil Kessel (1G, 2A, +1, 2 PIM, 5 SOG) had racked up 6-3-9 in only 4 GP coming in here and he has points in all five Toronto starts. Joffrey Lupul (2G, +1, 5 SOG) looks like a confident, healthy winger this season and that's finally some great news for him and his poolies too. Tyler Bozak (1A, +1, 2:00 PP, no SOG) had three helpers in three tries before this evening. Dave Steckel (16-2 FO???) moved to C on the top line to win faceoffs as this game wore on, and win them he did. Colby Armstrong left this one injured and was spotted on crutches. John-Michael Liles (2A, -1, no SOG) had just one point coming in here, while Dion Phaneuf (1A, 1 SOG) has points in four of five and had a pair of multi-pointers coming into this clash. Shootout: Lupul, Frattin
