PHILADELPHIA FLYERS 5 @ CAROLINA HURRICANES 3

Goaltending match-up: Sergei Bobrovsky (17/20, .850 SV%) vs. Cam Ward (13/17, .765 SV%) & Brian Boucher (10/11, .909 SV%)

Combos: Scott Hartnell - Claude Giroux - Jaromir Jagr/ James van Riemsdyk - Danny Briere - Wayne Simmonds/ Matt Read - Max Talbot - Jakub Voracek/ Harrison Zolnierczyk - Sean Couturier - Zac Rinaldo/ Matt Carle - Chris Pronger/ Kimmo Timonen - Braydon Coburn/ Andreas Lilja - Andrej Meszaros

Scratches: Nodl, Gustafsson, Shelley

Top PP times: Simmonds (4:26), Pronger (4:16), Giroux (4:07), Jagr (4:07), Briere (3:10)

Trending: Claude Giroux (2G, 1A, +1, 4 SOG) didn’t waste much time before scoring in this one and why would he? He had a four-pointer the last time he met the Canes. He is just so freaking impressive out there. Truly. Jaromir Jagr (2A, +2, 2 SOG) had been blanked in his past two outings, but still had 15 points in 16 GP coming in here. Chris Pronger (3A, +1, 1 SOG) didn’t have a point in his first two games back in the line-up, but you know his production will be there. Jakub Voracek (2A, +2, 2 PIM, 1:01 PP, 2 SOG) has points in four in a row and had five points in the three games on that streak coming in. Wayne Simmonds (1G, -2, 2 PIM, 4 SOG) has a point in three of four. Matt Read (1G, 1A, +1, 2:52 PP, 3 SOG) seemed to be hurt after scoring Philly’s fifth goal, so see if this is a lingering thing or not if he’s on your roster. He has markers in three of five and although he did say after the game he's fine, you never know with these kinds of things.

Combos: Jeff Skinner - Jussi Jokinen - Tuomo Ruutu/ Eric Staal - Brandon Sutter - Chad LaRose/ Alexei Ponikarovsky - Pat Dwyer - Tim Brent/ Jiri Tlusty - Zac Dalpe - Zach Boychuk/ Tomas Kaberle - Derek Joslin/ Jamie McBain - Bryan Allen/ Jay Harrison - Tim Gleason

Scratches: Stewart, Pitkanen

Top PP times: Staal (4:21), Kaberle (4:14), Skinner (3:52), Jokinen (3:52), Ruutu (3:01)

Trending: Jeff Skinner (1A, 2 PIM, no SOG) had seven points in six November games before tonight. Eric Staal (1A, 4 SOG) was coming off his two-pointer against the Pens, which broke a seven-game pointless skid. He entered this evening with that ugly -17 rating. Tuomo Ruutu (1G, +1, 4 PIM, 2 SOG) had a pair of goals in his last game and looks to be going on a run. With those linemates and if he’s feeling the puck, he could be good for a pick-up in standard leagues... especially ones counting hits. He only had six points before that last game too. Pat Dwyer (2G, +1, no PP, 3 SOG) scored a SHG and also on a penalty shot, but still doesn’t hold much value in most pools.

BUFFALO SABRES 3 @ MONTREAL CANADIENS 2 (SO)

Goaltending match-up: Jhonas Enroth (25/27, .926 SV%) vs. Carey Price (30/32, .938 SV%)

Combos: Thomas Vanek - Luke Adam - Jason Pominville/ Ville Leino - Derek Roy - Drew Stafford/ Nathan Gerbe - Paul Gaustad - Brad Boyes/ Cody McCormick - Matt Ellis - Patrick Kaleta/ Christian Ehrhoff - Marc-Andre Gragnani/ Robyn Regehr - Jordan Leopold/ Mike Weber - Andrej Sekera

Scratches: Myers, Ennis, Miller

Top PP times: Pominville (5:46), Roy (4:48), Vanek (4:44), Gragnani (4:17), Leopold (2:59)

Trending: Derek Roy (1G, 1A, +2, 2 SOG) has been sizzling the past week or so and had eight points in five games before tonight. Jason Pominville (1G, +2, 4 SOG) has been great all season and had 20 points coming in. Thomas Vanek (1A, +2, 2 PIM, 5 SOG) has also been outstanding on the whole and had 11-9-20 in 16 GP before this affair. His shootout goal? Nasty, nasty shot. Shootout: Vanek, Boyes

Combos: Travis Moen - Tomas Plekanec - Brian Gionta/ Max Pacioretty - David Desharnais - Erik Cole/ Scott Gomez - Lars Eller - Aaron Palushaj/ Mathieu Darche - Andreas Engqvist - Petteri Nokelainen/ Josh Gorges - P.K. Subban/ Jaroslav Spacek - Yannick Weber/ Alexei Emelin - Raphael Diaz

Scratches: Cammalleri, Kostitsyn, Gill

Top PP times: Plekanec (7:00), Desharnais (6:19), Pacioretty (6:19), Weber (6:13), Cole (5:29)

Trending: Erik Cole (1G, 1A, -1, 2 PIM, 5 SOG) has points in three of six this month. P.K. Subban (1A, -1, 4:24 PP, 1 SOG) has helpers in three of four now after a really slow start, while Max Pacioretty (1G, 1A, 2 SOG) has points in four of his past five overall. David Desharnais (1A, 2 PIM, 3 SOG) had collected seven points in eight affairs before tonight. Shootout: Pacioretty

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING 2 @ WINNIPEG JETS 5

Goaltending match-up: Dwayne Roloson (18/22, .818 SV%) & Mathieu Garon (16/17, .941 SV%) vs. Ondrej Pavelec (30/32, .938 SV%)

Combos: Martin St. LouisSteven StamkosNate Thompson/ Teddy PurcellTom PyattVincent Lecavalier/ Ryan ShannonSteve Downie/ Adam HallDominic MooreBrett Connolly/ Pavel KubinaMarc-Andre Bergeron/ Eric BrewerMatt Gilroy/ Brett ClarkVictor Hedman/ Bruno Gervais

Scratches: Malone, Jones

Top PP times: St. Louis (8:36), Lecavalier (8:05), Stamkos (7:49), Purcell (7:31), MAB (6:45)

Trending: Steven Stamkos (1G, 1A, +1, 2 PIM, 4 SOG) had tallied 27 points in 19 games against this franchise coming in, while Martin St. Louis (1G, +2, 5 SOG) had 22-48-70 in 63 GP. Vincent Lecavalier (1A, +1, 4 SOG) had 12 points in his 16 overall GP before tonight.

Combos: Andrew Ladd - Nik Antropov - Kyle Wellwood/ Evander Kane - Bryan Little - Alex Burmistrov/ Jason Jaffray- Tim Stapleton - Blake Wheeler/ Tanner Glass - Jim Slater - Chris Thorburn/ Mark Stuart - Dustin Byfuglien/ Johnny Oduya - Zach Bogosian/ Mark Flood - Arturs Kulda

Scratches: McArdle, Festerling

Top PP times: Byfuglien, Antropov, Bogosian, Wellwood, Ladd (0:52)

Trending: Dustin Byfuglien (1G, 1A, +1, 7 SOG) is really beginning to put together a good run for his owners. Multi-pointers in three of six now from the back end with plenty of PIM and SOG too. Evander Kane (1G, 1A, +2, 2 PIM, 0:17 PP, 2 SOG) only had one point in five tries coming in, but was hot for a bit before that. Andrew Ladd (1G, +1, 5 SOG) has points in three of four now. Alex Burmistrov (1A, +2, 2 PIM, 0:17 PP, no SOG) had one point in eight tries before this outing. Mark Flood (1G, -1, 0:17 PP, 4 SOG) has connected for goals in three of six from the blueline. Bryan Little (1A, +1, 0:17 PP, 4 SOG) had a sparse five points on the season before this affair.
