EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Eskimos have re-signed veteran quarterback Jason Maas to a one-year deal with an option for 2010.

In three games last season, Maas was 24-for-44 for 340 yards and one interception.

An eight-year CFL veteran, Maas spent the first six seasons with the Eskimos where he enjoyed his best years as a pro. He was named a CFL West all-star in 2001 and helped the team to a Grey Cup championship in 2005.

The Eskimos traded Maas to Hamilton following the Grey Cup win. He was dealt to Montreal in 2007 before re-signing with the Eskimos in '08.
