Kent Austin, who coached the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a Grey Cup win in 2007 and then left the team to accept the offensive co-ordinator’s job at his alma mater, is about to be named the head coach at Cornell University, according to various reports.

While Austin helped Ole Miss become a powerhouse under the direction of head coach Houston Nutt, he is inheriting a program that went 2-8 last season.

Austin replaces Jim Knowles, who has signed on as defensive coordinator at Duke.
