WINNIPEG -- Ken Moll was named the Winnipeg Blue Bombers' player-personnel director Thursday.

Moll will be responsible for the development and management of the Bombers' scouting networks. He will also oversee interleague scouting, both professional and amateur.

"He possesses the skill sets and contacts to develop a systematic network which will meet the needs of our club in the near and long term," Bombers' vice-president and GM Joe Mack said of Moll in a statement. "His experience and professionalism will be an immediate asset to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers."

Moll has spent the past four years with ESPN as a pro scout. He also has scouting experience with the Jacksonville Jaguars (1994-1998) and Cleveland Browns (1998-2005).

"I'm thrilled to begin work for such a storied franchise like the Winnipeg Blue Bombers," Moll said. "I know how much the team means to the city and province and I'm excited to do everything I can to help us field the best team possible."
