Support for renewing or replacing Mosaic Stadium has receded, but remains strong, according to results of a new survey of Regina residents conducted for the Leader-Post by Sigma Analytics.

Sigma Analytics conducted telephone interviews with 535 Regina residents, 18 years of age or older, between Jan. 27 and Feb. 3. The sample size yields a margin of error of plus or minus 4.23 per cent, 19 times out of 20. Results for sub-sets of the sample have larger margins of error.

The survey found 68.2 per cent think improvement or replacement of the stadium is needed. That is down from 76.1 per cent support indicated in a similar survey one year ago. The number who indicated the stadium is good enough as it is rose from 23.9 per cent in the year-old survey to 31.8 per cent in the new one.
