Bob Dyce, the longest tenured member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers coaching staff, will be named the passing game coordinator of the Saskatchewan Roughriders this week, sources told sportsnet.ca.

Dyce will effectively become a co-offensive coordinator, likely sharing part of the duties with Doug Berry, who is also expected to accept a job with the Riders after an exodus of assistant coaches following last season. Berry visited Saskatchewan last week following the departure of offensive line coach Bob Wylie (Denver Broncos) as well as the trio of Jamie Barresi (offensive coordinator), Kavis Reed (defensive coordinator) and Paul LaPolice (head coach) leaving for Winnipeg.

Berry and Dyce worked together in Winnipeg for three seasons (2006-2008) when Berry was the Blue Bombers head coach. Dyce guided the receivers during his seven years with the franchise.

Acquiring Dyce also helps Saskatchewan with its scouting. During his tenure in Winnipeg, he was the team's Canadian college draft coordinator and was in charge of Canadian player personnel with the organization in 2009.

The Roughriders will retain defensive coordinator Gary Etcheverry and few changes are expected on the Saskatchewan defensive staff.

NOTE: Mark Nelson, who was the Blue Bombers defensive coordinator in 2009 under Mike Kelly, has accepted the defensive ends coach/special teams co-ordinator job at East Carolina University.
