Montreal Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman has been hired as a passing mentor to former Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen.
Trestman served as Clausen's "pro day mentor" for his private throwing workout on Friday as the former college QB showcases himself ahead of this month's NFL draft.
Clausen, who has not completely recovered from surgery three months ago to repair torn tendons in his right foot, completed 57 of 59 passes before a huge throng of NFL coaches, scouts and general managers. By all accounts, Clausen put on a show for the assembled NFL personnel.
Trestman was also one of the hand-picked passing gurus hired by Tim Tebow and was a big reason why the Florida QB received rave reviews for his rebuilt throwing motion.
