Eskies boss serves notice

EDMONTON -- The president and CEO of the Edmonton Eskimos has served notice -- if the team loses to the B.C. Lions on Friday, there will be changes.
"Let me make this clear, there's no one in this organization that's untouchable," Rich Lelacheur told reporters Monday."The situation of the last four weeks is not good.
"The game, particularly on Saturday, was a total embarrassment. It was an embarrassment to the players, to the coaches, to the management and it's just not acceptable."
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers stomped all over the struggling Eskimos on Saturday, scoring 21 points off Edmonton turnovers and ended up winning 47-21.
The Bombers had a 16-0 lead after the first quarter and a 23-0 lead until Edmonton scored its first TD with four seconds left in the half on a 15-yard pass from Ricky Ray to Jason Barnes.
"When the team got back (Sunday), we spent a lot of time with football operations, reviewing not just the personnel on the field or the coaching, but the way we're doing things or anything we're doing that we can do differently because we're just not going to accept a 0-4 record," Lelacheur said.
"It's a failing grade and everybody knows that and it's just not acceptable."
He said Friday's game in Edmonton is a must win for this team or there will be changes, starting from the top down.
The last time the Eskimos opened a season 0-4 was in 1965.
