Als kicker Duval misses practice with virus

MONTREAL -- Montreal Alouettes kicker Damon Duval missed practice with a stomach ailment Tuesday but is not expected to miss any game action.
Duval was sent home after showing up sick with what coach Marc Trestman called a "stomach virus." He said safety Etienne Boulay had the same ailment on Monday, but was fine to practise the next day.
Trestman expects the CFL scoring leader to be in the lineup when the Alouettes play host to the Toronto Argonauts in a battle of 3-1 teams Thursday night at Percival Molson Stadium.
"I assume he will (play)," said Trestman. "Etienne came back today, so hopefully it's not something that will linger."
Duval tied a team record with seven field goals in a 37-14 victory over Hamilton last week.
Trestman said other players can handle kicking duties if Duval was unable to play. Slotback Ben Cahoon has kicked field goals and converts and middle linebacker Shea Emry has kicked off in the past when Duval was out of the lineup. Special teams player Mike Giffin can also kick.
"I think we're chasing a ghost here, but if it happens, we have some guys who are serviceable," Trestman said.
Safety Mathieu Proulx was back at practice for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in the second week of the season in Edmonton. Trestman said he will not be ready to play this week.
