The Toronto Argonauts, who are searching for a way to increase their productivity in the receiving corps, have signed Prechae Rodriguez, Sportsnet.ca has learned.

Rodriguez was cut by Edmonton on Monday. He joined the Eskimos a few weeks ago because the team was thin in their receiving corps following a rash of injuries, and caught eight passes for 98 yards.

This will be Rodriguez's fifth Canadian Football League team since debuting with Hamilton in 2008. With his 6-foot-5 stature, Rodriguez towered over defenders and made some spectacular catches in his debut season with the Ticats - earning 70 catches for 1,099 yards and nine touchdowns. He was voted the Eastern Conference rookie of the year.

His production has dropped since his debut season. Rodriguez has also been with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montreal Alouettes.
