TORONTO — Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Henry Burris, teammate Greg Ellingson, and Montreal Alouettes defensive end John Bowman were named CFL top performers of the week on Tuesday.

Burris threw a career-high six touchdown passes in Ottawa’s 44-28 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last week. He completed 28 of 37 passes for 358 yards.

Ellingson had eight receptions — including three touchdown catches — for a career-high 152 yards.

Bowman, meanwhile, had three sacks in Montreal’s 30-24 overtime loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

He set new personal bests this season with 19 sacks and 46 tackles
