Eskimos extend Sewell’s contract through 2015

EDMONTON – The Edmonton Eskimos signed defensive tackle Almondo Sewell to a contract extension Thursday.

The deal will keep Sewell with the CFL club through the 2015 season.

Sewell appeared in 15 games this season, registering eight sacks, 39 tackles, one pass knockdown and a fumble recovery en route to being named a CFL all-star.

Sewell, 26, originally signed with Edmonton as a free agent June 4, 2012.
