Kevin Fogg, Clarence Denmark and Deon Lacey all named CFL’s top performers

TORONTO — Defensive back Kevin Fogg and receiver Clarence Denmark of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Edmonton Eskimos linebacker Deon Lacey were named the CFL’s players of the week Tuesday.

Fogg had two interceptions, four tackles, a sack and fumble recovery in Winnipeg’s 34-17 road win over Toronto. The win was the Blue Bomber’s third straight.

Denmark registered seven catches for a career-high 195 yards and two TDs against Toronto in just his second game back with Winnipeg. Four of his receptions were for 20-plus yards.

Lacey recorded a career-high nine tackles and returned an interceptions 19 yards for a touchdown in Edmonton’s 23-12 win over Montreal. Lacey has 44 tackles this season to stand fourth in the CFL
