Mitchell, Bowman, Elimimian named CFL performers for September

TORONTO — Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, Edmonton receiver Adarius Bowman and B.C linebacker Solomon Elimimian are the CFL’s top performers for the month of September.

Mitchell received the honour for a second straight month after he completed 103-of-149 pass attempts for 1,440 yards and nine touchdowns in leading the Stampeders to a perfect 4-0 record in September.

Through 13 games, the Katy, Texas native has passed for 4,297 yards and a league-leading 24 touchdowns.

Bowman racked up 32 receptions for 444 yards and two touchdowns over his last four games.

This season Bowman leads the league in receiving yards (1,400), receptions (95) and is tied for second with seven touchdowns.

Elimimian racked up 30 defensive tackles and one quarterback sack in three games.

The 2014 most outstanding player currently sits second in the league in defensive tackles with 86 and also has five sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception over 12 games.
