Report: Hefney charged with pot possession

Winnipeg Blue Bombers halfback Jonathan Hefney was charged with marijuana possession following a traffic stop in South Carolina on May 31 and faces a court date later this month, according to the Winnipeg Sun.

Officers apparently smelled marijuana when Hefney’s truck was pulled over at 1:20 a.m. in Rock Hill, S.C.

Hefney was given a ticket for marijuana possession and has a court date scheduled for June 19.
