REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed quarterback Keith Price.
The move comes a day after the Riders announced starter Darian Durant would likely miss the remainder of the CFL season with a torn tendon in his right elbow.
Durant was to undergo surgery this week.
Price joins Saskatchewan after attending the Seattle Seahawks rookie camp. He was originally signed by the defending Super Bowl champions in June as an undrafted free agent.
The 23-year-old California native had spent the previous four seasons as quarterback of the University of Washington Huskies.
In 46 career games, Price completed 757- of-1,183 pass attempts for 8,921 yards and 75 touchdowns.
