Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive co-ordinator Orlondo Steinauer was given an additional job title Friday as the CFL team promoted him to assistant coach.
"Orlondo is an accomplished coach in this league and very deserving of his new expanded role with the team," said head coach Kent Austin, who also serves as vice-president of football operations. "This is the next step in his career as he continues to progress both personally and within our organization. We have assembled a quality coaching staff that has a blend of experience, leadership, work ethic and ambition, and we’re excited to open training camp this weekend."
Steinauer has served as defensive co-ordinator since joining the team’s coaching staff in 2013.
The Ticats also named Mike Markuson as offensive line coach, Chuck Winters as defensive and special teams assistant coach, Jarryd Baines as offensive quality control coach and Matt Tolliver as defensive and special teams quality control coach.
