REGINA — The water at the Saskatchewan Roughriders‘ new stadium has been given the thumbs-up.
The city said earlier this week that the water at Mosaic Stadium wasn’t suitable for drinking after gravel and stones were found in the water pipes when they were flushed.
Mayor Michael Fougere said Friday tests done by a provincial lab have determined the water is now OK to drink.
The city says a water tanker will be at the stadium on Saturday for the game between University of Regina Rams and University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
Fans are encouraged to bring drinking bottles they can fill up on site and bottled water will also be available for sale.
The university match-up will be the first game in the new stadium.
