FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots signed 10-year veteran Mike Flynn on Thursday to shore up an injury-depleted offensive line.
The 34-year-old played his entire NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens before being released in February. He can play both centre and guard.
The Patriots have been battling injuries on the line throughout the preseason. Right guard Stephen Neal has been on the physically unable to perform list since training camp opened, and left tackle Matt Light has not practised since early in camp due to an injury.
To make room for Flynn on the roster, the Patriots released cornerback Ade Jimoh, who was signed last week as a free agent.
