Canadian receiver Sam Giguere picked a good game to make a final impression on the Indianapolis Colts.

The Quebec receiver caught his first two passes of the pre-season in the Colts' 27-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday. The Lions didn't play any of their expected starters in the game, which helped the likes of Giguere to make an impression.

Giguere signed as a free agent with the Colts this season, but hadn't had a catch in the team's first four pre-season games.

The lanky receiver has speed and is considered tough and with great leaping ability.

His performance should at least earn him a spot on the Colts' practice roster.

Meanwhile, former Saskatchewan running back Kenton Keith had five rushes for -2 yards in the game and one catch for seven yards. He was the team's backup running back behind Joseph Addai last season, but the Colts are waging a serious battle at that position this season and Keith had 14 rushes for only 35 yards and three catches for 10 yards in pre-season play. Rookie Mike Hart led all the Colts' running backs with 95 yards on 17 carries and had eight catches for 65 yards.

Rookie Chad Simpson finished with 49 yards on 16 carries and three catches for 22 yards.

Veteran Dominic Rhodes had 13 carries for 39 yards.
