What a difference a week makes in the National Football League. Seven days ago the talk surrounding Brett Favre in New York usually included the word "bust," while media and fans alike were heralding Packers management for staying the course with Aaron Rodgers.

That all changed Sunday.

Shaking off an ankle injury, the resilient Favre was at his gun-slinging best at the Meadowlands, to the tune of a career-high six TD passes in the Jets romp over 'Zona.

Rodgers, on the other hand, fired three INTs in a second-straight loss for Green Bay, now worrisome of the real possibility of Matt Flynn as their starting quarterback after Rodgers injured his shoulder against the Bucs.

So the debate rekindles. Who would the Packers rather have now as their quarterback? If Rodgers misses substantial time, Green Bay will probably be packing it in earlier than expected this year. And Brett Favre can say I told you so, while leading his Jets into playoff contention.

Some other observations from around the League in Week 4:

Newly crowned good guy Steve Smith extended the olive branch to teammate Ken Lucas by giving him the ball after scoring a touchdown in the first half. Feel free to insert a punch line here.

Did Braylon Edwards and Chad Johnson change personalities in their matchup Sunday? The newly malcontent Braylon was doing his best Bengal WR impression all day long: taking undisciplined penalties, tearing into his quarterback on the sidelines, and offering up rockin' new endzone celebrations. Ocho Cinco? He merely handed the ball to the ref after finally scoring his first TD of the season. Cincy fans officially have nothing left to look forward to this season.

After his display at Paul Brown Stadium Sunday, Harvard grad turned Bengals emergency starting QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has a real future. As a lawyer.

How quickly has referee Ed Hochuli fallen from grace? A month ago, he'd have been thankful if you could spell his name properly. Now, after the disgrace of a second blown call in the last three weeks (this time costing Carolina a TD), fans are booing the veteran zebra. Somewhere Phil Luckett is smiling.

Larry Johnson showed Sunday he still has some gas left in the tank, running all over the Broncos for 198 yards and two TDs. A big win for Herman Edwards' Chiefs, who are now guaranteed of not going 0-16 this season.

The Titans improved to 4-0 for the first time in franchise history Sunday, after another dominating performance by their defence in a 30-17 win over the Vikings. Still not sold on Kerry Collins leading this team? You may recall Trent Dilfer, the veteran QB who unspectacularly led the 2000 Ravens -- featuring the league's top-ranked defence -- to a Super Bowl title. The losing QB for the Giants in that championship game? None other than Collins himself.

What stood out for you in Week 4 of the NFL? It's time to have your say.
