CLEVELAND -- Browns tight end Kellen Winslow, already playing with a sprained right shoulder, left Sunday's game against Indianapolis with an injured ankle.
Winslow was hurt on the first play of the second half while blocking on a running play. He was helped to his feet but walked to the sideline without assistance and was taken to the locker room for X-rays.
The Browns said Winslow's return was questionable.
Winslow has had injury problems throughout his five-year career. He broke his leg in his second game as a rookie and then missed the entire 2005 season after sustaining a serious knee injury in a motorcycle accident. Winslow has undergone at least four operations on his knee, which developed a staph infection while he was recovering.
Winslow hurt his shoulder on Nov. 17 at Buffalo.
