According to team sources, a detached tendon may keep San Diego running back LaDainian Tomlinson on the sidelines for Saturday night's AFC wild-card playoff game against Indianapolis.
The 2006 league MVP is a game-time decision but sources add he will receive therapy during the day in an attempt to play. The decision will be made after the pre-game warm up.
A scan showed that Tomlinson had an "avulsion" on one of three adductor muscles, meaning a tendon that connects the muscle to the pubic bone has detached. An injury of this nature can affect the ability to make sharp cuts and other movements.
