PHILADELPHIA -- Restricted free agent offensive lineman Nick Cole agreed to a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Cole started seven games at guard for the Eagles last season including all three post-season games.
Cole started the season as a third-stringer but stepped in for the injured Max Jean-Gilles in Week 14 against the New York Giants.
Jean-Gilles had been starting in place of Pro Bowler Shawn Andrews, who played only six quarters before missing the rest of the season with back problems.
Cole signed with the Eagles as a rookie free agent out of New Mexico State in 2006.
