According to ESPN, Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch has been suspended for the first three games of the 2009 season by Commissioner Roger Goodell.
The suspension is a result of Lynch pleading guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge, which is a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy.
The report states that an announcement could come Thursday, and Lynch is expected to appeal the suspension.
If the penalty is upheld, Lynch would lose approximately $112,000 of his $635,000 base salary for 2009 during the suspension.
