Two players with Canadian connections have been signed as free agents following the 2009 National Football League draft, sources tell Sportsnet.ca.
Jamaal Westerman, a New York native who moved with his family as a teenager to Brampton, Ontario, signed with the New York Jets. Westerman played defensive end at Rutgers University.
Jamall Lee, a B.C. native who played running back from Bishop's University, signed with the Carolina Panthers.
