ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Rams and Canadian safety Oshiomogho Atogwe have agreed to a one-year contract, reported by several media sources to be worth around US$6 million.
The 28-year-old Atogwe was designated as a non-exclusive franchise player in February.
Atogwe, from Windsor, Ont., led the NFL with eight interceptions in 2007. Last season, he started all 16 games at free safety for the third straight season and had a career-high 109 tackles. He also led St. Louis with five interceptions, eight forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
