INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts safety Bob Sanders, the 2007 NFL defensive player of the year, says he is getting better. He's just not sure when he'll return.
Sanders has not practised since having off-season knee surgery.
The Colts considered putting him on the physically unable to perform list last weekend but decided not to because they think Sanders can return in less than six weeks.
Sanders wouldn't say Wednesday when he thought he would be back.
Coach Jim Caldwell acknowledged Sanders is making progress but again declined to give a time table for his return. It is unlikely he'll play Sunday against Jacksonville.
The Colts added safety De'von Hall and tight end Jason Pociasck to the practice squad and released receiver Sam Giguere of Sherbrooke, Que.
