The Carolina Panthers aren't going into next season without a returning starter on the defensive line after all.

Unrestricted free agent defensive end Tyler Brayton, who started 31 games the past two seasons, agreed to terms Wednesday to re-sign with a three-year deal. Terms weren't disclosed.

"Tyler is relieved and pleased," said his agent, Tom Mills. "The two years he's spent with the Panthers have been his two most enjoyable years as an NFL player. He's pleased to have the opportunity to continue his career there."
