Cleveland Browns schedule Florida QB Tim Tebow for private workout
March 19, 2010 | Source: Cleveland Plain Dealer
The Browns will take a closer look at Florida quarterback Tim Tebow in a private workout scheduled before the April 22-24 draft, team President Mike Holmgren confirmed.
Holmgren, General Manager Tom Heckert and coach Eric Mangini attended Tebow's Pro Day on Wednesday and were impressed with the improvement in his throwing mechanics and footwork. Holmgren still has reservations, however, about Tebow's mechanics.
"I just think in the heat of battle guys will usually revert [to old form]," Holmgren said Thursday. "I think, and I told him this, that he was so thinking about his mechanics that at times it looked a little robotic.
