EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants have re-signed receiver Michael Clayton.
The Giants announced the signing on Friday. Clayton will be available to play on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Clayton, who was released before the season, will take the roster spot vacated by Domenik Hixon, who tore his right anterior cruciate ligament on Monday night.
An eight-year veteran, Clayton played in the final six games of last season and had two catches. He played in all four Giants' games this preseason and caught two passes for 45 yards.
