Complications keep Clark out

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark will not play in Sunday's AFC wild-card game in Denver due to a sickle-cell trait that makes it dangerous for him to play at higher elevations.
Coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday having Clark suit up is not worth the risk. Clark lost his spleen, gall bladder and 30 pounds after playing in Denver in 2007 triggered the condition. Tomlin also held Clark out of Pittsburgh's last trip to Denver in 2009.
The 32-year-old safety led the Steelers with 100 tackles. Clark will be replaced with Ryan Mundy, who has two career starts.
Tomlin expects linebacker LaMarr Woodley to play against the Broncos. Woodley missed six games this season with a strained left hamstring.
Guard Doug Legursky (left shoulder) will also be available.
