ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills have claimed Marcus Thigpen after the receiver was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Thigpen who doubles as a return specialist has appeared in 36 NFL career games. The 28-year-old appeared in four games this year with Tampa Bay, and spent the previous two seasons with the Miami Dolphins.
Overall, he has nine catches for 112 yards and a touchdown. He also scored a touchdown returning a punt for the Dolphins in 2012.
The Bills freed up a roster spot by releasing defensive end Bryan Johnson.
Buffalo (6-5) hosts Cleveland (7-4) on Sunday.
