Stars return: Megatron, Romo, Fred Jackson playing

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills rookie receiver Sammy Watkins and running back Fred Jackson are listed as active against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Watkins is the Bills’ leading receiver and is playing despite missing two straight practices after hurting his groin Wednesday. Jackson returns ahead of schedule. He was expected to miss four weeks after hurting his groin in a 17-16 win over Minnesota on Oct. 19.

With Watkins playing, receiver Mike Williams is inactive for the second time in four games.

For the Chiefs (5-3), linebacker Joe Mays is listed as active a day after being taken off the team’s short-term injured reserve list. Mays has been on IR since training camp, when had wrist surgery.

Despite back injury, Romo active for Cowboys against Jaguars in London
LONDON — Tony Romo is active for the Cowboys against the Jaguars in London despite a back injury that ruled him out of last week’s loss to Arizona.

The Dallas quarterback has fractures in two small bones in his back after being injured in a loss to the Washington Redskins two weeks ago but practiced on Thursday and Friday ahead of the game at Wembley Stadium.

Rookie QB Blake Bortles is also active for the Jaguars (1-8) despite a left wrist problem.

Defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford is inactive for Dallas with a knee injury.

Romo’s return is a boost for the Cowboys (6-3) after Brandon Weeden struggled against the Cardinals.

Calvin Johnson active for Detroit Lions against Miami, set to return from ankle injury
DETROIT — Calvin Johnson is active for the Detroit Lions, who will welcome their star receiver back Sunday against Miami after he missed a month with an ankle injury.

Johnson hasn’t played since Oct. 5, and he has only 22 catches on the season.

Dolphins running back Lamar Miller, who has been dealing with a left shoulder injury, is also active. Miami’s inactives are guards Daryn Colledge and Billy Turner, tackle Jason Fox, defensive tackle Anthony Johnson, defensive end Terrence Fede, tight end Dion Sims and linebacker Kelvin Sheppard.

Detroit’s inactives are quarterback Kellen Moore, tackle Garrett Reynolds, defensive end Larry Webster, tight ends Joseph Fauria and Eric Ebron, wide receiver Ryan Broyles and defensive tackle Nick Fairley.
