Bills place Kyle Williams on season-ending IR

Ryan Tannehil is the key for Miami in 2016.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills have placed defensive tackle Kyle Williams on season-ending injured reserve and signed three players to shore up an injury-depleted defence.

Defensive tackle T.J. Barnes was signed off the New York Jets practice squad. Defensive end Lavar Edwards was signed off Dallas’ practice squad. And Buffalo signed free-agent linebacker Kevin Reddick, who was on the Bills practice squad earlier this season.

The moves come after two defensive starters were hurt in a 30-22 loss at Kansas City on Sunday. Defensive lineman Alex Carrington will miss the rest of the season because of a left quadriceps injury. Linebacker Nigel Bradham isn’t expected to play against Houston on Sunday because of a sprained right ankle.

Defensive end Mario Williams’ status is uncertain because of a foot injury.
