Broncos Unrein signs $1.4 million RFA tender

Unrein rejoins Broncos just in time for off-season training.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver Broncos defensive tackle Mitch Unrein signed his one-year, $1.4 million restricted free agent tender Monday in time for the start of the team’s off-season workout program.

The Broncos are gathering Monday morning for the first time since cleaning out their lockers following the Super Bowl.

Unrein, from Eaton, Colo., entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie out of the University of Wyoming in 2011 and has played in 46 of 48 regular-season games over the last three seasons.

Also, defensive backs Duke Ihenacho and Tony Carter and linebacker Brandon Marshall signed their exclusive rights tenders in time to participate in the start of the team’s strength and conditioning workouts.

Peyton Manning is scheduled to meet the media following workouts this afternoon.
