CLEVELAND — The Browns re-signed punter Spencer Lanning and running back Shaun Draughn, both exclusive-rights free agents.

One of the NFL’s most consistent punters the past two seasons, Lanning has placed 53 punts inside the 20-yard line — the highest two-year total in club history. Last season, he averaged 44.3 yards on 93 punts and a 39.2 yard net. He also placed 25 punts inside the opponents’ 20.

In 2013 against Minnesota, the 26-year-old Lanning became the first player since 1968 with a punt, extra point and touchdown pass in the same game.

Draughn signed with the Browns before Week 14 last season. He played in four games with Cleveland, returning five kickoffs for 115 yards. The 27-year-old also played four games with San Diego and two for Chicago.

Draughn has appeared in 30 career games in the NFL.
