GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers won’t know until Saturday whether injured right tackle Bryan Bulaga will be available for their home opener against the New York Jets.
The Packers are listing Bulaga as questionable for Sunday’s game.
Bulaga suffered an injury to his surgically repaired left knee in the first half of Green Bay’s season-opening loss at Seattle on Sept. 4 and didn’t play the rest of the game. Coach Mike McCarthy says Bulaga was sore Friday morning when the medical staff re-evaluated him.
If Bulaga can’t play, McCarthy says Derek Sherrod, a first-round pick in 2011, will make his first NFL start.
Packer running back Eddie Lacy is probable for Sunday’s game. Inside linebacker Brad Jones (quadricep) won’t play.
