The San Diego Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Indianapolis Colts are the biggest favourites on the opening odds for Week 4 of the NFL season as the league enters its bye-week phase with just 13 games on tap for bettors between Thursday night and Monday night.

And it’s the Chargers who are the biggest favourites overall this week, as they sat at -13.5 at home on the opening Week 4 NFL betting lines at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com for their game on Sunday afternoon against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

San Diego is 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS on the season, while the hapless Jaguars have gone 0-3 both SU and ATS.

San Diego ended Buffalo’s modest two-game winning streak in Week 3, handing the Bills a 22-10 loss to drop them to 2-1 SU and ATS on the season. The Jaguars, meanwhile, were completely outclassed by the Colts in a 44-17 thrashing in Week 3, and they’ve now scored just 44 points while allowing 119 on the season.

The Chargers are on a three-game winning streak both SU and ATS against the Jaguars, getting past Jacksonville by a score of 24-6 as a 7.5-point road favorite the last time that the two franchises met back in the 2013 season.

Indianapolis comes off its easy win over Jacksonville into a game at home against Tennessee as a 6.5-point favourite on the opening lines at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Colts had dropped their first two games of the season before getting the gimme against the Jaguars, and head into Week 4 at 1-2 SU and 2-1 ATS on the season.

The Titans are 1-2 both SU and ATS this season, and they’re also 0-5 both SU and ATS in their last five games against the Colts dating back to 2011. Indianapolis is 9-1 SU in their 10 most recent meetings.

The Steelers romped past the Panthers on Sunday Night Football with a 37-19 win, and they opened as 8-point favourites at home against the Buccaneers for this week. Pittsburgh is 2-1 SU and 1-2 ATS on the season, while Tampa Bay is 0-3 both SU and ATS and coming off a horrific 56-14 loss to the Falcons last Thursday night.

Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay don’t meet that often, but the Steelers are 5-1 both SU and ATS in their last six matchups since 1989 according to NFLOdds.ca.

Other opening lines for Week 4 of the NFL season include the Giants at Washington (-6) on Thursday night, the Saints at Dallas (+2.5) on Sunday night, and the Patriots at Kansas City (+3) on Monday night.

As well, the Bills opened as 3-point underdogs in Houston, with the Packers 1.5-point underdogs in Chicago, and the Eagles 4.5-point underdogs in San Francisco. The Eagles are 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS heading into Week 4 of this NFL season.
