Dolphins coach absent for second straight day

Miami coach Joe Philbin (Wilfredo Lee/AP)

DAVIE, Fla. — Coach Joe Philbin remained absent from the Miami Dolphins because of a family matter, but he’s expected to return before Sunday’s game against San Diego.

Philbin missed practice for the second day in a row Friday.

Reserve tight end Dion Sims was ruled out of the game because of a toe injury. Starting tight end Charles Clay is listed as probable because of a lingering knee injury.

Guard Daryn Colledge (migraine and back) and linebacker Koa Misi (ankle) are listed as questionable. Colledge hasn’t practice since he left last Sunday’s game in the first half, and Misi was limited in practice this week.
