How many Canadians have been drafted by NFL teams?

When the clock starts ticking at the NFL Draft on Apr. 28, five Canadians will be hoping to get picked by one of the league’s 32 teams. And if they do, they will join a distinguished group of 57 players from north of the border who’ve been selected since the start of the Super Bowl era in 1966.

At least one Canadian has been picked in each of the last five drafts, marking the longest streak since the draft shrunk to seven rounds in 1994, and the second-longest all-time—Canucks went in six straight years from 1979–84, back when the draft went 12 rounds.
