Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick wasn’t happy with his younger brother after Marcus Vick went on a Twitter rant criticizing the Eagles and their offensive line during the Eagles 28-13 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday.
Vick told reporters at a post-game press conference that he was unaware of his brother’s tweets, but he appeared upset and defend the efforts of his teammates.
“That’s something I’m really going to have to address once I leave here,” Vick said. “We’re out there fighting as hard as we can, giving it everything we’ve got, and that’s certainly not the case. I love each and every guy in that locker room, and if I could make every play right I would. I know they would do the same, so that’s certainly not the case.”
The Eagles have lost four games in a row and five of their last six after starting the season 2-0. Some people believe Vick is on his last legs with the Eagles and his brother hopes that is that case as evidenced by the tweets he sent out during the game.
This not even an NFL type of O-line. What happen to the hogs the Eagles had last year and year before? Call Winston Justice back n Jamal J — Marcus Vick (@MVFive) November 6, 2012

Marcus then pleaded to the Eagles to trade his brother, writing: “Please trade my brother. We requesting out of Philly!!!! Please please please……” He deleted the tweet shortly after.
Only reason I said trade was bc I hear all that Nick Foles talk. Honestly who is he? What was his college record at Arizona? #letmeknow — Marcus Vick (@MVFive) November 6, 2012

Vick, who is arguably the NFL’s most agile quarterback, has been hit more than any other QB this season. Eagles quarterbacks have been hit 71 times this season, while most teams have allowed less than 40 hits against their QBs.
Like his brother, Marcus was a quarterback at Virginia Tech. But, unlike his brother who was drafter first overall by the Atlanta Falcons in 2001, Marcus went undrafted before briefly spending time with the Miami Dolphins in 2006.
