The New England Patriots walked all over the Atlanta Falcons during their historic fourth-quarter comeback in Super Bowl LI, so it’s pretty fitting that they’ve now got the shoes to show for it.
Nike and the Patriots released photos on Thursday of a brand new, one-of-a-kind pair of shoes that’s made out of game balls from their Super Bowl LI victory over the Falcons.
As you can guess from the photos, the tongue of the shoe is made up of the laces of game balls. All markings are also directly from the original footballs. Patriots fans will get a kick out of this. Falcons fans… not so much.
The shoes will be on display at The Hall at Patriot Place this weekend ahead of the Sunday night showdown between the Patriots and Falcons at Gillette Stadium — their first meeting since that memorable Super Bowl.
If (when?) the Patriots win more Super Bowls, they’ll probably actually be able to put out a whole run of these.
