New PED rules mean early return for Scandrick

IRVING, Texas — Orlando Scandrick is rejoining the Dallas defence two weeks early after the players and the league reached agreement on a revised policy for performance-enhancing drugs.

The seventh-year cornerback was already back in the Dallas area Wednesday awaiting word on the new deal after going home to California when his four-game suspension began.

Coach Jason Garrett said Scandrick would practice and the team would start evaluating whether he can play Sunday at St. Louis.
The Dallas defence has played better than expected the first two weeks and now has depth at cornerback it lacked while allowing the third-most yards in league history last season.

The Cowboys are putting offensive lineman Darrion Weems (shoulder) on season-ending injured reserve.
