ASHBURN, Va. — Free-agent nose tackle Jerrell Powe has signed with the Washington Redskins.

The team announced the deal Tuesday. The 6-foot-2, 311-pound Powe has played in 28 games, making four starts, with the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans over the past four seasons.

He was drafted in the sixth round in 2011 by the Chiefs, and played three seasons for them. Powe was with the Texans last season, appearing in 16 games with three starts.

He’s the latest addition this off-season to a rebuilt Redskins defensive line.
