Former NFL head coach and current ESPN analyst Jon Gruden could be preparing for an NFL comeback after nine years.

The ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders head coach told PewterReport.com that he’s met with several different people during his “time off.”

“Just about every year I talk about coming back to coach. I’m not in here every day at 4:30 or 4:00 in the morning watching pinball, you know? I’m preparing myself to come back. I am. Every day. I’m preparing to come back.”

Gruden’s last time on the field was in 2008 with the Bucs, the same team that he won a Super Bowl with in 2002. Gruden compiled a 95-81 record in 11 years with a headset, and turned seven different players into first-team All-Pros (three with Tampa bay, four with Oakland).
